This afternoon I took big brother up to summer camp. I know this is the beginning of my baby growing up and I am struggling with each and every step. Going to kindergarten every day of the week although half day was a step, then graduating from kindergarten, now summer camp, then starting first grade. Each step seems to be tougher and tougher on my mommy heart. Don’t get me wrong I love seeing him grow up and become a strong little man however I still look at him and see his baby blue eyes looking up at me the day I gave birth to him. I have heard that each step is harder, and I can attest to that truth. Brother will be at camp for three nights, three whole nights away from our home. This is the first time he has ever slept away from home this long, and never by himself. Oh, I am struggling a ton to say the least! Brother, well he was so excited to go that he didn’t even give me a hug good bye. I know he will have a blast and will have some great stories to tell once he gets home.
