When God gave me kids He knew that my comfort bounds would be pushed! Last Friday, before Spring break commenced big brother asked if we could set up a play date with his friend from school. So I gave him a note to give to his friend with my phone number. Friday his friend’s mom called me and we scheduled a play date for today. Stepping out of my comfort zone, talking on the phone and then planning to meet a new person and spend a few hours with them. In all honesty it was a great day. I am glad for big brother’s friend. He seems to be a nice kid that comes from a nice family. We spent the day at the zoo, walking around – the boys skipped hand in hand and the mom and I got to know each other. A great day. We parted ways at nap time and made an agreement for another play date in the near future. Thank goodness for stepping out of my comfort zone for my kids to make good friends!
