When I saw this lone tulip growing between a “rock and a hard place” my mind began to wander.
Imagine if you would being that tulip, no other tulips around to encourage your growth. As your stem and leaves begin to flourish and touch the light of the sun you are met with a rock and a hard place. How can you go on? How can you share your beauty when such “ugly” is your surrounding?
Oh the marvels that can be gleaned from this lone tulip! Life is sometimes so hard, sometimes it may seem as though I am growing up between a rock and a hard place. I have to push through the dirt of life only to be faced with a rock on one side and a wood wall on another. I know that there is beauty in my story of life however who will stop to notice when I am just one, when there is grey all around me. How can my vibrant colors truly show?
The lessons that I learned from this simple tulip on a spring day… Life may be tough but there is still beauty in some of the least expected places!
