Today did not go as planned… Although that has been a trend around here, yesterday was the same thing but today started off wrong and wound us in the emergency room. Big brother was given a clinical trial dosage of zinc to compliment his wart cream that we have been using. He was dosed with his zinc at 8:40 this morning and within five minutes the throwing up began. Knowing that it was just due to his meds and maybe not having enough food in his belly before taking I did not think too much of it. At nine thirty younger brothers and I were off to the bank and then to a friend’s party. I pulled up to my friend’s house, turned off the car and got a call from Michael telling me to come home immediately. I turned the car back on and was home within two minutes. Michael informed me that big brother passed out and when I saw big brother I knew something was not good. He was super gray and was very lethargic. Hubby grabbed him I grabbed a bowl a towel and ran to the car. Hubby drove like the wind, we only live ten minutes from the emergency room and got there in record time. The whole way driving big brother was falling asleep and was very drowsy. Michael jumped out and took big brother in immediately and they got him hooked up to machines to make sure there was not something else going on. An hour and a half of sitting and slowly watching big brother come back was very long and scary. As it turns out we will not be participating in the clinical trail and we will just take the warts for now! Big brother is doing much better, he is back to himself. He did tell me that he at one point fell asleep and then woke up and was super scared because there was a nurse and doctor standing over him. Thankfully we have great insurance and a super healthy little man!
