This song gets me every time. The very first time I heard it I remember sitting in my home church in San Diego and the lyrics rang out from the voice of Lisa Wickham. Her voice had such power and I remember thinking she sang the song with such conviction, it brought tears to my pre-teen eyes. Now as a mother I think about the heart of Mary, a broken woman but asked to carry the Emmanuel, the Life, the Resurrection, the Great I AM!
