My feelings towards weeds are growing from nuisance to hatred! Sakes alive… they grow so stinking fast and they are taking over the few areas that I have already cleared like two or three weeks ago. I resorted to searching Pinterest to find a solution… I found that vinegar is the miracle solution. Granted you could use a harsh chemical but since we have little boys and little chicken running around I wanted to find something a little more natural and safe, hence the vinegar. So I bought the three gallon jug from Costco (I use vinegar for my laundry already but I knew that I would need more than what I had). I poured it into one of those commercial pump sprayer things and went to work…

So it does work well. The one thing that I read about was to be very careful because over spray will kill things that you don’t want to… like your grass. I was very careful to only spray my patio area. I will admit that although the vinegar did a good job of killing the weeds I did not like having the dead particles laying around so honestly I still wound up getting down on my hands and knees and pulling everything out. I think that I might take the vinegar and spray the clean cracks in hopes that the weeds won’t come back.
