Big brother has been feeling a little left out of the play dates as of lately. With him at school five days a week although only half day we really don’t get to go on many play dates with him. So I decided that after I picked him up from school we would head over to JumpStreet one of his most favorite places to go… hubby had bought a Groupon that I needed to use up so it was the perfect excuse. I had told big brother yesterday of the plan. So this morning when he woke up he asked me if I could send a note with him to school… “What for Bubba?” “Well so my teacher can let me leave school right after recess to go to JumpStreet.” “Why right after recess?” “Mom, that is why I go to school so I can play at recess!” “Well Bubb you have to go to school all day and I will pick you up at 11:40am when you are done.” “Awe mom!” While we are driving to school from his car seat in the back of the car I can see him deep in thought… “What are you thinking about Bubb?” “Well mom, school really get in the way of my fun play time, we really need to look at this!” A chuckle escaped my lips and I simply said, “Welcome to real life!”
