There are those times when I am feeling at a loss and just pray as I open my Bible and hope that I open to just where my heart needs to find comfort. Well, today was one of those days with my quiet time. I have been reading the devotion called “Jesus Calling” and have really been blessed by the daily words. For those more “techy” people there is an app that you can download for the same price and it will give you daily notifications… this is what I have done so that every morning at 6:25am my iPad shows that I have a notification. A notification that I cannot ignore like I know I would with the book just sitting on my nightstand.
Today’s entry was perfect in so many ways. By nature I am a perfectionist and a fixer… I do not like things out of order and often spend unnecessary hours fretting over people, places, and things that need my “fixing”.
So for those that have yet to purchase the book or download the devotional here is a few words of encouragement that hit hard for me today and I hope it finds a place in your heart and mind as well.
