I have been on the search for a kitchen rug since Michael made mention about thinking we might need one. I took that non-committal comment and am running with it. I wanted something that was simple, not too “showey” or “themey”, I know those are not real words but who is judging? My kitchen space is small… sufficient but small so I don’t need flashy either. My kitchen dimensions are nine and a half feet from counter to counter and eleven feet from stove to pantry… it is a “U” shaped space.
The kitchen rug hunt has been on. I have looked at Target, Kohls, Ross, Costco, Home Goods, Bed Bath and Beyond and the internet. My budget was no more than $20, for one rug to go under my kitchen sink – the place that I spend much of my kitchen time. This is what I have come up with…

Please excuse the finger prints, dust and mess… the pantry renegade is still taking place and I have found that it is pointless to sweep/clean until that is done.
My kitchen cabinets are chocolate brown as you can see. The space is small and feel s a little dark because of the shape so I wanted something that was lighter in color.
