Pardon me for a short while… I was at Big Brother’s Kindergarten Graduation (in my opinion it should be promotion rather than graduation… more on that later) and I left storming mad. No, not about the graduation versus promotion but about how stinking rude and absolutely inconsiderate people are.
Okay here it goes… parents: spank your children! Seriously people your kids are down right rotten and they need a good spanking every now and then. Case in point: a conversation that I overheard between a mother and her daughter… “Mom, where is my graduation present?” “Well, honey I didn’t get you anything.” “Why not mom? That is so rude! This is a big deal, I am graduating kindergarten. I can’t believe you didn’t get me a gift.” “Honey, I just didn’t have time…” “Talk to the hand mom, I am so mad at you!” I kid you not, that was the conversation between a six year old little girl and her mom.
Here is another one for you… rude parents… okay people you can see that there are people (aka, me and my two sons and another mom and her two kids) sitting down on the ground to watch the graduation and you came and stand your large rear end right in front of us! Seriously people, I can’t help it that you were late and didn’t get a spot to sit it does not mean that you and your oversized backside can come and take up the view of those that are sitting on the ground with their young children.
Another one… rude parents… after graduation we as parents were instructed to pick up our kids in front of their classroom after having signed them out at a table located in front of the school office. Myself and another mom see that there is a line and we go and get in line to sign out our children. While standing in line there were four people that just cut in front signed out their kids and did not even acknowledge that there was a line or that people were waiting.
This brings me full circle people… rude parents=rude kids! What are we doing to our future? Yes, children are our future… I don’t know about you but those that are not pleased with our governing individuals now… watch out, we are raising a bunch of rude and inconsiderate kids that will someday be running this country! Scary!
Okay, now back to the whole graduation versus promotion… I may be a lone wolf on this one but I will stand tall and proud! People why are we making such a big deal about mediocrity? Graduation comes when you have completed high school and/or college. Kindergarten is just the first year of a child’s education and if we make such a huge deal over little things then what are we going to do when they actually do something that is great and significant? Why are we so eager to pass out accolades and forget to pass out advisement or reprimands? Help me out here, I can’t possibly be the only one that has these thoughts.
