Just a few pictures of our girls… They are now nine weeks old and are getting bigger. We are getting excited about having eggs in the near future. We went to Costco this weekend to buy our eggs and the price has gone up dramatically. We paid $6.80 for two dozen and just a few months ago we were only paying $4.80. So come on ladies, get to it, do your chickie chick thing!
This lady is a little smaller than our other one. She is also a little more skiddish, but she is still up for some holding time with Zeke. Zeke said that she was posing and honestly it does kind of look like that.
This is the big lady. I actually about a week ago thought that maybe we had a rooster but I think I figured it out that we actually have two different breeds… one is a Rhode Island Red and the other is a New Hampshire Red. Well, more of what I read is that they have been bred so much that the lines are hard to determine… but still thinking we do in fact have two ladies!
