One of the wonderful perks of being on the steering team for our MOPS group is having a weekend away. Granted the weekend is supposed to be a working weekend however being away from the house with a bunch of girls is a great weekend in my book. We spent Friday evening having dinner and doing a little business. Saturday we did business from nine until around two. The rest of Saturday was spent just getting to know each other. We went into Winter Park and walked around, some did the alpine slide, some did shopping and others just sat around in peace and quiet. The evening we ate pizza dinner and then sat around and talked, laughed and had a wonderful time. By around eleven I think we had just about covered every topic woman cover and we all began to quiet down as if we had used up all our words. Sunday was a little more business and then pack up and head back to reality. Needless to say the weekend was just what this mom needed! Girls time!!! I wish we could do maybe two or three of those a year! It was great to get away from life for a shirt while and just be a group of girls.
