Welcome to our family little chickie chicks. On Sunday we headed to our local feed store and got some new girls. We got two Australorps and two Amber Whites. I had my mind made up that we were going to just get the Australorps and Rhode Island Reds however the lady at the feed store said that the Amber White are a hybrid of RIR and Rhode Island Whites… plus they were on a BOGO deal! Can’t go wrong with that. I will admit that we got them on Sunday and the reason I did not mention anything sooner was because we were not sure if one of the Amber White was going to make it through the night. I guess the travel home was just too much for her. I can report that they are all alive and seem to be enjoying themselves. We have yet to name them. Big brother wanted to name his which is the black on in the front Leslie Winkle after the Big Bang Theory character. Little brother has decided that his Amber white’s name is Penny. Middle brother and I are yet to settle on names. I am thinking that we might just stick with Big Bang Theory girl characters and we are set, daddy is not too hip on the idea. We will see who wins in the naming of the girls!
