For those that read this blog know that last year I did not get a tree up until like three days before Christmas. This year with our fake tree bought last year and sitting in the garage we decided to put up our Christmas stuff today. Yesterday I spent my day getting all our pumpkins pureed and our turkey stock frozen. I felt like we couldn’t bring on the next season’s decorations without fully getting the previous season’s out. As much as I boo hoo’d doing a fake tree let me say it is mighty nice to just pull it from the rafters fluff it out and be done. No trips to the mountains to find a tree, no pine needles littering my house, no worries of watering. Although without a fresh cut tree I felt like our house was missing a Christmasey smell. I found the recipe for cinnamon ornaments and so the boys and I made a bunch. Kind of pleased with myself that it the last day of November and our house is festive looking!
