Before we left for the family reunion hubby made a list of a few places that he wanted to visit while in Steamboat Springs. Fish Creek Falls was one of those locations that hubby wanted to visit. When we arrived I was blown away by the lush green. There were ferns growing every where lending itself to a magical feeling. The spiraling ferns pointing here and there with their tendrils made me want to lay down among them and watch the clouds float above me. Laying among the ferns was not in hubby’s mind. He wanted to hike five miles up the mountain to the top lake. Yeah, not my idea of fun, so I sent hubby off with the older two boys and little brother and I lingered along the paths, admired the flowers and worked on finding the most perfect walking sticks.
