Heaven gained another angel today. Today my cousin kissed her baby boy’s cheek for the last time and she squeezed him the last time this side of heaven. Yesterday tragedy struck and her baby boy was rushed to ICU where doctors did their best but Heaven’s pull was stronger. This little angel would have celebrated two years of life here in earth in May, now he is toddling around Heaven’s streets.
As a parent I don’t ever think it is bearable to loose a child, no matter their age. Grief will always weigh on a parent’s heart, between missed milestones and the empty chair at your table, life will never be completely full again. It is my earnest prayer and petition that my cousin, her husband and their surviving son will be enveloped in an unearthly peace, one that truly does surpass all understanding as they are walking through this shadow of death.
If you feel compelled to do something for my cousin, I will be collecting gift certificates for local restaurants and grocery stores in her area to send to her. A warm meal would be great however many miles separate us, me in Littleton and she in Post Falls… So the next thing that came to mind was gift cards, for groceries or meals. If you would like to help in this practical way please let me know!
