Merry Christmas

img_1128 This morning the creaks of our stairs were heard at 6:15, as big brother snuck upstairs to see what was under the tree.  In our house no presents go under the tree until Christmas Eve night, which simply means that I spend Christmas Eve night wrapping presents.  Big brother said that he waited for the sun to come up, but couldn’t wait any longer… mind you that at 6:15 the sun is not up, it is merely making a glow in the east… that’s it, but to a very excited little boy it was up enough.  Big brother waited and waited and waited for his brothers to wake up!  Little brother was the next up almost forty minutes later.  So the two of them got to find what was in their stockings… games, of which they decided to play one while waiting for middle brother to wake up.  Once all the boys were awake I made the boys sit nicely for at least two nice pictures before the tore into their presents.  It was the quickest that I have ever gotten all three boys to sit nicely and smile at the camera!  The boys got some pretty neat things!  For those wondering what we, got our boys after my last post of Consumer Frustration… well we got some new card games and then for big and middle brother we got them some discs for disc golf and each of them a bag to carry them in.  We decided that disc golf is something that we can do as a family or just hubby and one boy at a time can go and it will be special time.  For little brother he got a new bean bag to sit in and then we did buy him a toy that he has been asking for since the first part of October when the toy catalogs first came out.  My parents got each of the boys new scooters, to which they were super excited about, however bummed to not be able to try them out due to our white Christmas.  My grandparents, did really good (way to go!) on the boys gifts, all three boys were so excited to head to their rooms with their new toys.  My parents bought us a puzzle to put together as a family and so hubby, the older two boys and I sat down and put together the 500 hundred piece puzzle in about three hours, that has got to be a record!  We had a very nice and relaxing day.  I hope the same was for you too!
