Summer storms really are my most favorite thing. Today while we were at a park we got caught in a huge summer storm. We could see the clouds coming in but the plan was just to sit under the shelter and eat our lunch as the rain fell and then after the storm passed to go and play on the playground again. This storm was huge! It lasted about forty minutes with thunder, lightening, hail and what looked to be tornado clouds. The boys thought it was pretty cool. I was okay with it all until the thunder was no more than “one-Mississippi” away. That was a little too close for my liking as me and the boys stood huddled under a metal roofed shelter. It was an adventure that I am sure the boys will not soon forget!
