Steamboat Springs really does have a lot to offer. Gondola square during the summer is a hub bub of activities. Hubby was not satisfied with just hanging out in the little stream that runs through gondola square… that man wanted to hike the three miles up a 2,500 incline to the top of Steamboat Springs mountain. What? Really? Yep, I would have loved to have pictures of what my face looked like or even my mental thoughts during that hike but I left my camera back at camp. Needless to say at about the half way point hubby offered for me to go back to gondola square with little brother and wait for he and the two older boys to ride the gondola back down. I was not about to go back down the mountain on foot, at the half way point my determination stubbornness set in and by golly I was going to get to the top of that dang mountain. I will admit here that I did leave hubby behind a few times and that meant that he had to take care of little brother which really means that he had to give little brother a shoulder ride so that we could all make it to the top… as a family. Glad we did it, glad I made it, and glad that can say I conquered that hike.
