Where, of where does the time go?

661077I know there is no legitimate excuse for the lack of presence that I have on this little corner of the world wide web!  Hubby keeps pestering me… “When are you going to update the blog so that I know what is going on in the family?”  You chuckled… it is the honest to goodness truth.  I think hubby reads the blog more than anyone else to find out what exactly goes on in this crazy mind of mine and in our crazy Never Dull home while he is gone working.  So since I last spent any time in this space a lot of time has passed but what feels like not much information.
For the first two weeks of October we had hubby’s sister and kids here visiting.  It was so fun to have cousins for the boys to play with.  One of the things that was a bummer for me growing up was that I didn’t have any cousins my age but my sisters did and there was a part of me that was a little jealous.  So brothers got to play with their cousins for a week.  My sister in law had a lot of shopping to get done to re-stock for heading back to Alaska so much of our time was spent finding deals all over town.  There is talk that they might move back to Colorado and there is a big part of me hoping that is the case.  I really enjoy their company and I love getting a girl perspective of childhood in the Kulow house from my sister in law.
After their visit little brother and I headed to San Diego for a little mini vacation.  I will do another post on that since I have lots of pictures to go along with that.  Since this summer big brothers got to go to San Diego for two weeks by themselves we thought it might be neat for little brother to go and visit Papa and Gigi.  It was a nice little break from life for me with only one little one to take care!
When we got back from San Diego I caught a cold which made me remember why it is that I hate to fly on airplanes… a tunnel of germs!  After a week of little to no voice I was back at life, however it was not without sharing the germs with hubby!  Love you Kulow!
Many know that we do not “celebrate” Halloween, but we made a full day of lots of fun!  Brothers got to skip school and we headed to IHop for breakfast and enjoyed free funny face pancakes.  Then we came home baked some pumpkins so that we could make puree and we enjoyed pumpkin muffins and apples for lunch.  Then for dinner we went to Olive Garden because kids ate free for the night and enjoyed dinner with hubby and one of hubby’s friends.  After dinner we went to Target and let the boys spend $30 each of their allowance money.  Needless to say I think in spite of the fact that we don’t dress up and get candy, I think the boys would agree we had a pretty awesome day!
Bringing us to November… I will say, this is my most favorite month!  No, not the time change!  Blech!!! But the fact that November is our anniversary month and my birthday month.  Yahoo!
